• Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, becomes a CRS Global High School!

Forest Ridge School joins Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to become a CRS Global High, receiving collaborative support from CRS to form internationally aware and globally responsive students who live their Catholic faith in solidarity with their sisters and brothers around the world. Together, we are strengthening Catholic identity in our high schools by forming students who are active global citizens, engaging the entire school community in the mission of Catholic social teaching.
Motivated by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the CRS Global High School Program provides opportunities for Catholic high schools to join with CRS to educate about Catholic social teaching and advocate for solidarity with the global poor through things like:

    Emergency Response prayer and action
Participating in and promoting ethical trade
Lesson plans developed to engage students in Catholic Social Teaching
Global solidarity events such as a CRS Rice Bowl kick-off, Dance-a-Thon to raise awareness of a global issue (such as the Syrian refugee crisis), Peacebuilding Mural, etc.

Forest Ridge joins Seton Catholic as the second CRS Global High School in the Archdiocese of Seattle.

Interested in becoming a CRS Global High School?
Almost all of the Catholic high schools in this archdiocese participate in the CRS Rice Bowl Lenten program, which means many of our schools are already engaged in faithful solidarity with our one human family. Simply sign up at http://ghs.crs.org/ to get started.
